Man oh man. Check out the last few portrait sessions on the front page of this site. Incredible couples, incredible locations, incredible light… what more could a couple of photographers ask for? Nothing. Well..maybe that new iPhone… but I digress.

The E-Session! – Meagan and Evan’s Devonian Gardens Engagement Session

First up, a shot from Amanda and Justin’s awesome wedding from this past Saturday.

Next is a couple of shots from Meaghan and Evan’s E-Session at the beautiful Devonian Botanical Gardens! We started shooting this E-Session less then 12 hours after finishing Amanda and Justin’s wedding. That is what you call a busy weekend.

The E-Session – LeBao and Tongs University of Alberta Engagement Session!

I think it should be a law that you can’t shoot an engagement session without a scooter! LeBao and Tong are such a fun couple, and having the beautiful University of Alberta campus as our backdrop made this E-Session one of our favs of the year! Check it out.

Even got a little wind in the hair! Nice.

We are SO looking forward to their wedding this coming May!

The E-Session – Meghan and Mike!

Rain? Yes? No? It seems like in Edmonton a person is liable to get drenched if they spend more than 15 minutes outside lately! Well the rain managed to hold off for our really fun session with Meghan and Mike in the river valley.

The session began with a couple photos of the two of them and their cute dog Max. At 14 years old ( I think I got his age right) he’s blind and deaf and such a trooper! When he’s on the ground in an unfamiliar place, he was understandably a little skittish, but as soon as he was in the arms of Mike and Meghan he was so happy and relaxed. He loves his mom and dad

Awesome dress hey? Meghan looked totally stunning!

The rain showed up a little at the end of the session, but when you’ve got a big ol umbrella… who cares right?

Thanks again for the fun evening Meghan and Mike! We’ll be shooting their wedding in only a few short weeks so check back soon!

The E-Session – Matt and Jen!

I think this is our favourite year for engagement sessions EVER. Pretty much all the couples we’ve photographed have really made the session their own by tying in something or someplace that really means something to them. Case in point, Matt and Jen love to run so we headed over to Foote Field, where they first met!

Here’s some of our favs from the session.

We felt out of shape just standing anywhere near these two…

After applying the necessary bug spray we were off and…walking.

Jen is admittedly a little camera shy (not that you could tell) so when I was taking some shots of Matt, she happily relaxed by the wall. Beth grabbed a couple quick photos when she noticed that this girl has moves like a super model when she’s not even trying!

The E-Session – Desiree and Adam

We’ve been meaning to go to this particular spot for over a year now! It’s kind of hard to get to and not exactly open to the public…yet, but it’s such a cool place that we knew when we found just the right couple, we had to use it! Desiree and Adam were game and totally rocked this e-session. Check it out!

Adam and Desiree’s wedding is coming up at the end of August and we can’t wait to photograph all the wedding day goodness. Check back here the first week of September for the blog post!

The E-Session – Amanda and Justin

This was a cool shoot. We always love it when couples choose photo locations that are meaningful to them and their relationship, so it was great to hear we were headed to a fun little spot in St.Albert where Amanda and Justin go for every anniversary! We knew there were probably some nice spots in the area, but we didn’t expect to hit the engagement photography jackpot… The River House Grill and the area surrounding it is gorgeous! We even found a little hidden gem of a mural that I especially loved… but we’ll get to that in a minute. First – meet Amanda and Justin.

The great people at the River House Grill even let us in before they opened to get some shots in the dining room! A big thanks to them.

What an incredible ceiling…

The E-Session – Emily and Tyler!

This past December, I was driving out in the country side just south of Spruce Grove to go scope out a possible shoot location for a wedding that was coming up. The spot that I had ventured out to see turned out to be a little less photogenic than I had hoped, BUT along the way I saw this little set of trees on the side of the road that definitely peaked my interest. Although at the time the entire area was covered in three feet of snow, I knew I had to go back there once warmer weather came around. Being that Emily and Tyler lived in the area (as well as knowing that they could handle the ridiculous amount of mosquitoes that was sure to be waiting for us), we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to head back and see if it was as gorgeous as I remembered. Oh it was.

Emily and Tyler are an awesome couple who we’ve known for a few years now and we’re really pumped to photograph their wedding this July!

They brought this little guy to join in the fun as well!

His name is Johnson.

After being eaten alive by everyones favourite bug, we headed over to Main Street Stony Plain for a couple more shots!

The E-Session – Dani and Vaughan!

Man, oh man. Sometimes our job is way too easy. Here’s an E-Session we shot this past weekend with Dani and Vaughan. We really loved how natural they were in front of the camera, it was a fun time!
