Sarah and Jeremy’s Fall Portrait Session!

Here’s a fun fall portrait session we shot the other week! Sarah and Jeremy were great and despite the weather being, well…less than ideal, we all had a good time running around Edmonton’s Hawrelak Park capturing the shots that you shall now feast your eyes upon. And go!

The E-Session – LeBao and Tongs University of Alberta Engagement Session!

I think it should be a law that you can’t shoot an engagement session without a scooter! LeBao and Tong are such a fun couple, and having the beautiful University of Alberta campus as our backdrop made this E-Session one of our favs of the year! Check it out.

Even got a little wind in the hair! Nice.

We are SO looking forward to their wedding this coming May!

Jenkins Family Portraits! – Edmonton Portrait Photographers

There always seems to be a lot of talk in the photographer community about “that beautiful California light”. Some say it can’t be rivalled for its gorgeousness, but I’m here to tell you right now that if we had more light like we had the other day for the Jenkins family portraits… people would flock here in droves just for some of that “incredible Alberta light”…as long as they don’t mind the mosquitoes, that is.

The E-Session – Emily and Tyler!

This past December, I was driving out in the country side just south of Spruce Grove to go scope out a possible shoot location for a wedding that was coming up. The spot that I had ventured out to see turned out to be a little less photogenic than I had hoped, BUT along the way I saw this little set of trees on the side of the road that definitely peaked my interest. Although at the time the entire area was covered in three feet of snow, I knew I had to go back there once warmer weather came around. Being that Emily and Tyler lived in the area (as well as knowing that they could handle the ridiculous amount of mosquitoes that was sure to be waiting for us), we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to head back and see if it was as gorgeous as I remembered. Oh it was.

Emily and Tyler are an awesome couple who we’ve known for a few years now and we’re really pumped to photograph their wedding this July!

They brought this little guy to join in the fun as well!

His name is Johnson.

After being eaten alive by everyones favourite bug, we headed over to Main Street Stony Plain for a couple more shots!

The E-Session – Dani and Vaughan!

Man, oh man. Sometimes our job is way too easy. Here’s an E-Session we shot this past weekend with Dani and Vaughan. We really loved how natural they were in front of the camera, it was a fun time! We’re fortunate enough to be shooting their wedding in a couple months and we can’t wait to work with them again! Here’s some of our favs:

Meet Jennie and Kevin

They’re awesome.

Besides being awesome, they also have three great girls! Oh look, there they are now!

Can’t forget the puppy dog

Together they make one big happy family.

A family who loves to laugh and have fun! When we took this next shot, their dog was running back and forth at about twice the speed of sound.

The sun was just about down so we all headed inside. The girls took turns playing songs on the piano. Very cool.

It was a really nice evening and we totally enjoyed spending it with Kevin, Jennie and their family. Thanks again for having us out (and for the delicious apple loaf afterwards)!

The E-Session : Heather and Jeff!

Here’s an E-Session that we shot about 3 minutes from our doorstep out in Spruce Grove! Before we headed out, Heather and Jeff gave us the little pre-shoot warning of “We’re not very photogenic so you’ve got your work cut out for you!” but as you can tell pretty quickly…that’s definitely not the case Those two were awesome and we got SO many great shots of the two of them, it was hard to narrow them down at all! We’re really excited to be shooting their wedding in about a month’s time and you know we’ll have lots of photos up right afterwards. Enjoy!

Fall Portrait Special!! + E-Session Sneak Peek

September is upon us and it’s by far our favourite month for portrait shoots! The light is incredible (as you can see from this shot we took yesterday of the awesome Heather and Jeff), it’s not too cold, it’s not too hot, just brilliant!

So because we want to fill up our calendar with beautiful portrait shoots, we’re giving all our Fall portrait clients $120 to spend on prints!!!

You can use that $120 towards lots of cool things like wall prints, canvases, Christmas cards, even albums! Family Portraits – The O’Connor Family
