We were excited about this wedding, big time! Beth and I felt like the luckiest photographers around this past Saturday, because we knew Dani and Vaughan would be an awesome couple to photograph - and they totally were. But the best part of the day for us was after the last photo was taken and we were on our way home (that sounds funny, but hear me out...). It's on the drive home when we can think back on the day, after all the busyness of the wedding, the plans, the timelines, the locations, etc and typically we'll be chatting about how a location was, or about how we loved the look a certain lens gave us at some point. On that drive though, there was just about no photography talk at all. All we could talk about was how great it was just to have BEEN there, to have had the opportunity to be apart of that wedding day. It was such a great celebration of family and friends and that's what makes a wedding day special. Dani and Vaughan are such caring and genuine people and you could tell that even without the beautiful location, or the great food, or any of that stuff, they would have still had one of the best days of their lives because of the people who surrounded them with such support and love. So a big heartfelt congratulations from Beth and I and an even bigger thank-you for having us there.
So this is part one of two! We've got a huge amount of photos we'd like to post and we thought we'd space it out a bit :) Stay tuned for part two that will cover the formals, ceremony and reception. The entire day was spent at the Northern Bear Golf Course just outside of Sherwood Park. Nice place!
One last look in the mirror before heading out!
Then it was time for the first look
We've got LOTS more on the way! Like this one...
