Meet Jennie and Kevin

They’re awesome.

Besides being awesome, they also have three great girls! Oh look, there they are now!

Can’t forget the puppy dog

Together they make one big happy family.

A family who loves to laugh and have fun! When we took this next shot, their dog was running back and forth at about twice the speed of sound.

The sun was just about down so we all headed inside. The girls took turns playing songs on the piano. Very cool.

It was a really nice evening and we totally enjoyed spending it with Kevin, Jennie and their family. Thanks again for having us out (and for the delicious apple loaf afterwards)!

The E-Session : Heather and Jeff!

Here’s an E-Session that we shot about 3 minutes from our doorstep out in Spruce Grove! Before we headed out, Heather and Jeff gave us the little pre-shoot warning of “We’re not very photogenic so you’ve got your work cut out for you!” but as you can tell pretty quickly…that’s definitely not the case Those two were awesome and we got SO many great shots of the two of them, it was hard to narrow them down at all! We’re really excited to be shooting their wedding in about a month’s time and you know we’ll have lots of photos up right afterwards. Enjoy!

Fall Portrait Special!! + E-Session Sneak Peek

September is upon us and it’s by far our favourite month for portrait shoots! The light is incredible (as you can see from this shot we took yesterday of the awesome Heather and Jeff), it’s not too cold, it’s not too hot, just brilliant!

So because we want to fill up our calendar with beautiful portrait shoots, we’re giving all our Fall portrait clients $120 to spend on prints!!!

You can use that $120 towards lots of cool things like wall prints, canvases, Christmas cards, even albums! This could be for a family, a couple, just you, it’s all good as long as we get to shoot in the glorious fall light! So give us a shout and book your spot, we’ve only got a few spots to fill!

The Big Day – Shauna and Brian’s Wedding!

It was so cool to have a big part of the wedding party and the wedding guests themselves here all the way from Ireland. Brian was born and raised in Ireland and Shauna – who’s from Canada – had been living there the past number of years. They just recently moved to Alberta and had their wedding right here in Edmonton. Saturday was such a great celebration and we felt so blessed to be a part of it! Here’s some shots from Shauna and Brian’s wedding:

The Big Day : Raymie and Miles’ Wedding!

Miles and Raymie booked us well over a year ago to shoot their wedding, so we were really excited when last Saturday finally came along. Both of them are fun laid back people who are great to hang out with, they are both totally photogenic (which we found out big time at their engagement shoot) and we knew their wedding day would reflect them as a couple. The Big Day – Bana and Brian’s Edmonton Wedding!

We first ran into Bana while shooting Natalia and Stephens wedding in July. She got to see first hand how we shoot a wedding day and she must have liked what she saw because just a few weeks later, on a hot sunny Friday we shot her wedding as well! Brian and Bana had recently returned from the East Coast where they celebrated wedding ceremony #1 with mostly Brian’s side of the family. Now it was time for Bana’s culture’s and traditions to take centre stage and we were more than happy to photograph it all! Have a look:

This is a shot from inside the Queen Elizabeth suite at The Fairmont Hotel MacDonald. Totally stunning. It’s 2 levels and over 2400 sqft….

I had to get this shot just to try and show how huge this place was.

Strike a pose! Bana was awesome.

We turned the high level bridge into a runway!

This was taken inside the Shaw Conference Centre.

This was our first time photographing a Buddhist wedding ceremony. It was really great to experience it!

Yup, that’s a Taj Mahal Cake!

I talked with the lady who built this incredible cake and she said it took 60 hours to complete…..I believe her.

So if you frequent this site regularly, you’ve probably started to notice that we just about always have some food photos from the reception. This is because well…we’re food nerds. The menu was outstanding so we HAD to post some fancy food highlights

This pre-main-course palate cleanser was really cool, and definitely the most creative way we’ve been served sorbet! The surrounding sphere (orb? I dunno what to call it) was made from ice! You can see it slightly melting onto the spoon.

Our entertainment throughout supper was this incredible thunderstorm! The reception hall was all glass on one side so we had an awesome view.
